The most recent stuff
For those who are still not familiar with the giant robots from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, this is the Razengann (or Lazengann according to what you’ve eaten this morning). He’s a bad guy.
Well, nothing much to say about this one, except the fact that while King Kittan was mostly drawn with straight lines, this one was mostly drawn with curved lines, which is a nightmare to manage and anti-aliase…
I also totally screwed up the lighting (almost every piece of armour has it’s own light source), but the result is globally good-looking so I don’t care that much…
Nevertheless, I really think I should take some lighting-practice…
Oh, for those who may be interested to see how I proceed to work on such sprites, here's a small and quick GIF animation showing the sprite in various stage of production.
